Welcome to the outskirts of the Darwin Redwoods. Home to a wide range of species, the largest of which is our Brachiosaurus herd. These gentle giants occupy a large area made up of forest, grassland, and heath. At sunrise, the sauropods migrate from their indoor shelters down to the lake where they freshen up before moving to the redwoods to graze.
Treat yourself with an up-close look at these magnificent beasts in our treetop walkways, where our rangers hand feed them treats such as Banana leaves, Papaya fruit and Mango. Or go on our sunrise safari tour and watch these titans bath in the waters of Lake Waikato.
