One of the scientists presented an idea. They had secretly worked on a project, code named ‘Sleep Tight’. It was essentially one of the largest concussion grandes ever created. If triggered at close proximity, it was possibly strong enough to knock the bird out, however due to the electrical storm created by the Pokemon, we couldn’t get close enough to activate it.
Prof. Clements stated she was working on a machine they called ‘Storm Surge’ that could disrupt the inner workings of a hurricane using Graphene powder and dense gas. They theorised that if a payload of enough of these materials were detonated over the eye of the storm, that the dense gas could create a sunglass effect, cooling the warm winds while the highly conductive graphene could essentially short out the energy created inside. The two combined could stop a storm dead in its tracks, however this plan posed new problems. If we triggered the device over the Power Plant, it could disrupt the systems and irreversibly damage it, so we had to use it away from the facility.
Dr.Okada divulged that his company had been working on a transportable electromagnetic generator code named ‘Zeus’ that could emit a tremendous amount of energy, originally designed to provide energy to areas ravaged by natural disasters. It was powered by solar energy caught using satellites fitted with solar sails. The energy collected can then be transmitted down to the generators to distribute clean power anywhere in the world. If the generator were to be activated, it could create enough power to attract the Zapdos away from the power plant.
Using the generator we could potentially lure Zapdos far enough off course that we could use both ‘Storm Surge’ alongside ‘Sleep tight’ to disable it long enough to administer tranquillisers and transport it back to its original territory.
